EXECUTIVE OFFICERS

President

Lana Wynn

The President oversees the overall operations of the Texas A&M Club Tennis Team. Their responsibilities include organizing team meetings, setting the agenda for practices and events, ensuring effective communication with club members, and representing the team in official capacities. The President works closely with other officers to ensure the team runs smoothly and that members are engaged and active. They also act as the primary liaison between the team and university administration, the United States Tennis Association (USTA), and other organizations.

Vice President

Andrew Tran

The Vice President assists the President in the management of the team and stands in for the President when necessary. They help coordinate team events, tournaments, and travel arrangements, and ensure smooth communication between officers and members. Additionally, the Vice President plays a key role in member recruitment and retention, helping to maintain team culture and enthusiasm. The VP arranges social events for the club members as well! They may also oversee specific projects or committees as needed.

Secretary

Elise Sablotny

The Secretary is responsible for keeping accurate records of all team meetings, activities, and correspondence. They manage the team’s internal and external communications, including maintaining contact lists, sending out announcements, and coordinating schedules. The Secretary also helps with the organization of team documentation such as waivers, rosters, and meeting minutes, ensuring all records are up to date. The main job of the secretary is to work closely with Historians, making sure all social medias are up to date and active.

Treasurer

Elaine Flachs

The Treasurer manages the team’s finances, including budgeting, collecting membership dues, and handling any payments for team activities such as tournaments or travel expenses. This includes all tournament entry fees. They work with other officers to ensure that all financial transactions are transparent and accounted for, and they prepare financial reports as needed. The Treasurer is also responsible for fundraising efforts and ensuring that the team adheres to any financial guidelines set by the university.

Executive At-Large

Ava Melaerts

The Executive At-Large is a flexible role, assisting other officers with various projects and tasks as needed. They may take on special initiatives, such as organizing social events, coordinating with sponsors, or assisting in tournament logistics. The Executive At-Large usually oversees all of the regular officers and helps with merch for the club as well. This role allows the team to have additional leadership support and helps with the execution of larger events and day-to-day operations.

The Recruitment Officer leads efforts to attract new members to the team. They organize and promote recruitment events, such as tryouts or information sessions, and ensure that prospective members feel welcomed. The Recruitment Officer also manages communication with potential recruits and collaborates with the Secretary to maintain up-to-date records of interested students. They play a critical role in maintaining the team’s size and competitiveness.

SOCIAL

Jeanette Diercoff

The Social Officer is in charge of planning and organizing social events for the team, ensuring a strong sense of community off the court. They coordinate team-building activities, mixers, and celebrations to foster camaraderie among team members. The Social Officer works to create an inclusive, fun, and engaging atmosphere, helping to build friendships and team spirit. They may also assist in promoting events via social media and other communication channels.

The Competition Officer manages the team’s internal ranking system and oversees the process for members to challenge one another for spots in lineups. They ensure that the challenge matches are scheduled fairly and efficiently, and keep track of match outcomes to maintain up-to-date rankings. They play a key role in maintaining the competitive structure of the team and helping members improve their performance by offering opportunities to move up in the ranks.

HISTORIANS

Dana Kardonik

The Historian is responsible for documenting the team's activities throughout the year. They capture photos and videos at practices, tournaments, and social events, and manage the team’s archives, ensuring that memories are preserved. The Historian may also create content for the team’s social media platforms and website, helping to build the team’s digital presence. Additionally, they compile year-end summaries or scrapbooks to highlight key moments of the season.

FUNDRAISING

The Fundraising Officer works directly under the Treasurer to assist in planning and executing fundraising activities that support the financial needs of the Texas A&M Club Tennis Team. This role focuses on organizing events, securing sponsorships, and coordinating fundraising efforts to meet the club’s financial goals, all while ensuring alignment with the Treasurer’s budgeting and financial oversight.

DRILL

Jack Knox

The Drill Officer is responsible for organizing and leading tennis practice to enhance player skills and overall team performance. Their job is to keep tennis practice moving and keeping it fun! In addition to running drills that target various aspects of the game, this officer actively participates in running practice by feeding balls to players during drills. This hands-on role requires tennis knowledge, leadership, and the ability to possibly provide constructive feedback to players at different skill levels.
